PVA Plus Calendar Brooklyn Park Middle School
The PVA Magnet Middle School program is designed to engage students in intense instruction of the highest quality in music, dance, visual arts and multi-media production arts offered by highly qualified teachers. Through Performance Plus students are provided a wide range of experiences in all of the arts instructed by professional artists and qualified arts specialists during two days per week.
Local and visiting professionals and teaching artists from the fields of drama, dance, theatre, visual arts, instrumental and vocal music are working with the PVA program teaching Performance Plus sessions. These artists deliver a 12 session class/course that includes focused arts instruction [in dance, drama, visual arts, instrumental music or vocal music].
We are developing ideas for sessions through out the year. Interested artists are encouraged to call the PVA office to discuss your possible involvement with the PVA Performance Plus program.
What: Teaching a 1 hour class twice a week- over six week sessions [12 sessions]
Who: Working with a group of 15-25 middle school students
When: Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30-4:30pm
Where: Bates Arts Center [the arts building that is part of Bates MS in Annapolis]
How: instructors are processed through the AACPS system for Teaching Assistants and are paid directly from the PVA program.
