Dance

The Bates Middle School performance and visual arts program is proud to provide  dance students with technique classes in ballet, modern, jazz and tap.  Students choreograph and perform their own dance works in addition to studying production, design, dance careers, and dancer health.  Building a portfolio includes documentation of creative efforts, aesthetic criticism, research, and samples of students’ written work.  PVA dance is a comprehensive program preparing students for the high school dance program or other dance efforts.
